You will also find horses in the villages of Apolpena, Tsoukalades and Fryni, in Melissa Gorge and Agios Ioannis beach. There is also a farm that offers horse riding lessons in the village of Apolpena which is located very close to Villa Fairytale.
It is important to mention that Lefkada is an island with significant history and culture. This is the reason why there are so many archeological sites, churches and monasteries all over the island. If you are traveling to Lefkada, you must definitely visit the cape of Lefkatas with the beautiful lighthouse. Other significant places of interest are the Venetian fortress of Agia Maura, the Ancient Shrine in Rodaki and the archeological site of Nydri. Also worth visiting are the Monastery of Faneromeni in the village of Fryni and the church of Agios Ioannis located at Agios Ioannis beach.
